If you are a Hip-Hop fan who tends to care more about lyrics and meanings to tracks than the catchy hooks and repetitive beats, then do we have news for you!

Mos Def, Jay Electronica, and Curren$y are all teaming together to make a much needed “Hip-Hop” album that will give the game something it has been missing for awhile.

According to Curren$y, the three, all by complete coincidence, met up at Dame Dash’s new music facility DD172 and began immediately talking about getting on a project together. Here is what Curren$y said to MTV about the situation.

“I never met Jay Electronic until I stepped foot in this building. He came here to meet Mos. And Mos, I had only known him for 24 hours prior to that. But genuine people could recognize each other; it was like, ‘Let’s go.”

Curren$y also verified that the group’s name will be Center Edge Territory, in which he gives Mos Def full credit for coming up with.

Although there is no set date for the album, it has been said that the group has recorded six tracks together, and the album will be released independently.
