Mitt Romney is clearly grasping at straws. The Republican presidential hopeful has outraised President Obama in the last month, but isn’t a front-runner in the race for the White House, and has resorted to more silly mudslinging.

Romney responded to allegations that he sent jobs overseas, during his time at Bain Capital, in Colorado Tuesday (July 10), by calling the POTUS the “outsourcer-in-chief.

The half-hearted verbal attack went down during a town hall meeting in the battleground state. “He likes to talk about outsourcing,” he said. “He’s run some interesting attack ads on me on that topic. You may have seen that and interestingly an independent unbiased fact-checking organization looked at his ads and looked at that attack and said it’s false and misleading.”

Residents in Colorado have complained over the amount of commercials in a favor of both Obama and Romney, but the former governor pressed on with his lackluster attempt at blasting the president. “It is interesting that when it comes to outsourcing,” he added. “This president has been outsourcing a good deal of American jobs himself. By putting money into energy companies — solar and wind energy companies that end up making their products outside the United States.”

Romney has been defending his finances ever since it was revealed that he has offshore accounts, and is in a 13 percent tax bracket even though he is worth well over $100 million, and should therefore fall in the 25-50 percentile range.
