If last year you had said that 2 Chainz would be arguably the hottest member of the well stocked G.O.O.D. Music family, not a soul would have believed you. The Atlanta rapper continues his current winning streak by landing on the cover of the latest issue of Urban Ink magazine.
Urban Ink, which “chronicles the untold stories of tattooed people of color,” linked up with 2 Necklaces while he was on the road.
To get everything started off, Urban Ink caught up with 2 Chainz while he was on the road assisting Drake on his Club Paradise Tour. The “No Lie” rapper posed for some flicks with some spicy mamacitas, and afterward, he sat down with UI to give us a breakdown of what he looks for when choosing a tattoo artist that he can trust to permanently mark his body. Chainz also chatted about his second coming to the Hip-Hop spotlight, and the ink which tells the story of the journey he went through to get to this point.
Also features in the issue are stories on Cali rapper YG, LeBron James’ tattoo artist Jimmy Hayden, pro skateboarder Darren Harper, among others.
This 2 Chainz’ second cover reveal of the day as he appears on the front of the latest issue of Complex. The “No Lie” rapper’s solo debut, Based On A T.R.U. Story, is out August 14th. The new issue of Urban Ink goes on sale tomorrow, July 24th. Check out the cover and more images from the photoshoot in the gallery.
