Shellie Zimmerman, the wife of accused killer George Zimmerman, has pleaded not guilty to perjury. The 25-year-old is accused of deceiving the court when prodded about the couple’s finances during her husband’s first bond hearing. According to Shellie, she and her husband were in dire need of economic assistance, yet in actuality had over $130,000 in their account from online donations.

Her attorney, Kelly Sims, entered a written plea Friday (July 27), and waived Shellie’s right to appear in court.

Last month, police arrested Shellie for perjury, but she was released in 30-minutes after posting $1,000 bail. She has since remained out of site, and has been reunited with her other half who was freed after posting $1 million bond, in early July.

The Zimmerman’s continue to plead with the public for more donations, money which they need after spending a large amount of their funds to cover 10 percent of the $1 million bond amount.

After remaining silent since his latest stint behind bars, George sat down for his first television interview which aired on the Fox News Channel. In the pre-recorded broadcast with personality, Sean Hannity, the 28-year-old denied doing anything wrong on the night that he fatally shot Trayvon Martin, calling the incident part of “God’s plan.”

Shellie is set to be arraigned Tuesday (July 31).
