It would be foolish to deny that Usain Bolt is a sports phenom. The Jamaican track star holds the title of the fastest man in the world, grabbed two gold medals at the Summer Olympics in London, and is never shy about showcasing his self-confidence.
The fact that Bolt can command the attention of a crowd of millions watching around the world, bring them to their feet in cheers, make them laugh with his antics, and demand their silence when necessary, is exactly why we ‘re thoroughly entertained by this dude.
Thursday (Aug. 9) Bolt won his second gold medal running 200 meters in just 19.32 seconds, and as the he neared the finish line, he brought his finger to his mouth, shushing the crowd as he ran towards the No. 1 spot. “It’s what I came here to do,” the 25-year-old declared to the New York Times, after the win. I’m now a legend. I’m also the greatest athlete to live.”
