Karl Rove may want to forget the whole thing ever happened, but a mother in Kenya will never let go of America’s 2012 Presidential Election, because she named her twins after each of the candidates.

Millicent Owuor, 20, gave birth to two boys and named them Barack and Mitt. The babies were delivered at the Siaya District Hospital in Siaya, Kenya, located in the southwest region of the East African Country.

The hospital where Owuor had her sons just happens to be near the town of Kogelo, which is where President Obama’s father was born, and his 90-year-old grandmother still lives. Following his win, celebrations were held all over Kenya, including in Kogelo where residents sang, danced, and chanted “Hail our Kogelo son.”

“The reason why he has won is because God has given it to home,” said the president’s grandmother, Sarah. “Secondly, he has got the knowledge to love all people, he doesn’t have the knowledge of division, that is why he has won.”

Sarah’s words are on par with that of the president after winning the nomination. During his victory speech, held in Chicago, Obama promised to do his part to unify both parties.
