Ludacris
Ludacris and his mother Roberta Shields are known for their close relationship. Shields is an Atlanta industry taste-maker and the President of his Ludacris Foundation.
She is often proudly photographed on the red carpet with her son Christopher Bridges.
Waka Flocka
Waka Flocka and his mother Debra Antney are obviously close.
The Mizay Entertainment head is his manager and is often spotted around Atlanta with her son including a recent event where the proud son presented her with an award for “Executive Of The Year.”
Diddy
Diddy and his mother Janice Combs are thick as thieves.
The head of Bad Boy Records often speaks fondly of his mother and was quoted saying,
“My mother is why I am, who I am today. People can say what they want to say, but I just represent being sucker free, working hard and being positive.”
Trey Songz
Trey Songz’ mother April Tucker often accompanies him on red carpets where she’s often mistaken for his sister.
Trey previously spoke on bringing his mother to the BET awards where he says she “shut it down.”
“I brought my mama to the BET awards, everybody knows that. She was a trending topic. My mama shut it down, my mama killed the awards more than I did…”
Nicki Minaj
Although technically not a “momma’s boy”, Nicki Minaj often speaks highly of her mother and tells the story of how her drug-addicted father tried to murder her by burning their house down.
Nicki has since mad up for the transgressions of her father in a major way and bought her mother a house as documented on her “My Time Now documentary.”

Lil Wayne often raps about his mother Jacita Carter, the single mom who went on to groom him into the man he is today.
The grandmother of four, was at one time tapped to host a “The View”style talk show on hot topics with two other celebrity moms.
Ne-Yo
Ne-Yo is often spotted with his mother H. Loraine Smith who proudly poses with him for photo ops.
The new grandmother to his baby daughter is said to be Ne-Yo’s source of inspiration and he tells USA Today,

T-Pain has been known for helping to aid his mother Aliyah Najm get into the spotlight.
Most recently, “Mama Pain” shot a pilot for a talk show alongside Ne-Yo and Lil Wayne’s mothers titled “Dinner Table Discussions.”
The talk show was scheduled to launch this year.
Drake
Drake and his mother are closer than close.
The Young Money rapper recently canceled European tour dates to tend to his mother while she had surgery.
He released a statement on his decision to stick by his mother’s side saying,
“Despite my best hopes, it is apparent that my mother will need surgery earlier than anticipated…In light of this news, I have made the difficult decision to cancel my European tour in order to support her during her recovery, just as she supported me through the years.”
Chris Brown
Chris Brown often brings his mother Joyce Hawkins along for photo-ops and red carpet events.
The famous mom recently made headlines for less than positive reasons however when she proclaimed that “Michael Jackson died so Chris Brown could live” before retracting the controversial statement.
“I’m so sorry that the tweet I sent yesterday was misunderstood,” Ms. Hawkins wrote. “What I meant to say is that Chris has always been inspired by Michael Jackson’s music and his career.”
