Nicki Minaj is known to say a lot of crazy things in her music. As a true competitor in the lyrical sport, she will throw just about anything in the pot to make your ears perk up, but apparently her words about Mitt Romney mean that’s she’s officially endorsing him.

During her feature on Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape Minaj spits the line that launched a thousand headlines: “I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney/You lazy b-tches is f-cking up the economy.”

The quip is hardly anything to take get in a fury over, but easy material to accuse the Young Money star of not only taking shots at Democrats and President Obama (who are likely seen as the “b-tches”  which she refers to), but also announcing her allegiance with the Republican party.

Although she’s never come out and said who she’s voting for, the Barbie has vented her frustrations with health care via Twitter (so you know it’s real). Making mention of actress Yvette Wilson’s death from cervical cancer, Minaj was outraged by 48-year-old’s inability to afford proper care. “That should be a God given right! Even with Obama Care, too much involved,” she wrote. “Just give FREE health care to all. @barackobama What can we do?”

The president never personally responded to her inquiry, but taking a lyric from a mixtape seriously, rather than allowing Minaj to come out and speak her mind on politics, seems foolish.

Nonetheless, if she does decide to endorse Romney, that’s her right.
