In the first in a series of debates ahead of November’s presidential election showdown, an aggressive Mitt Romney went hard at President Barack Obama. The two political rivals also are scheduled to debate twice more, the next being on Oct. 16 in Hempstead, N.Y., and Oct. 22 in Boca Raton, Fla.
Romney bounded out the gate looking strong, despite not tackling some of the real issues presented by moderator Jim Lehrer. The incumbent Obama seemed to look disinterested at times, but it showed that the presidential race will be far from a cake walk for those easily swayed by Romney’s confident showing.
