Authorities in Georgia have indicted a man suspected in the death of Usher’s stepson, Kile Glover, TMZ reports. The child was killed following a fatal accident in which he was struck by a jet ski, and put on life support for two weeks.

Jeffrey Simon Hubbard was arrested and faced indictment Thursday by a Grand Jury in Hall County, Ga. He faces charges of  homicide by vessel, serious injury by vessel, and reckless operation of a vessel.

Glover, son of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond, was away with family friends at Lake Lanier in Georgia. Soon after the child was hit, authorities from the  Atlanta’s Department of Natural Resources announced an investigation into the accident. Based on their conclusion DNR, gave the recommendation of legal action to the district attorney, who brought charges against Hubbard.

He is currently being held without bail.

11-year-old Glover was riding in an inner tube when he was struck, alongside a teen girl. He was transported to a local hospital where he stayed for several days, but was declared brain dead on July 21.

With his death coming in the middle of his mother’s custody battle against the R&B star, Usher sought to delay court proceedings given the horrific accident. Tameka however wanted to go forward with the legal fight over their two sons. Weeks later a Georgia judge granted Usher full custody of their children.
