Lil Wayne is a man of his word, apparently. Having missed two scheduled appearances —one after suffering a seizure— the Grammy winning rapper appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to speak on his current health, his plans to retire after Tha Carter V, and more.
The Young Money CEO spoke lightly on his brush with death. “I had a few seizures, and the one that was very serious was the one that everyone, I think, were worrying about,” Wayne said.
“That one was serious because the house I was in has an upstairs and downstairs. I was upstairs and my homies were downstairs. They didn’t even know that I was up their seizing.”
One of the YMCMB’s associates discovered the MC after realizing how long he’d been absent. As a precautionary measure, Wayne says his friends have since been prepped to aid him in the event that this happens again.
Now that the show is literally back on the road, Weezy also briefly promoted his I Am Not A Human Being II LP and “America’s Most Wanted Festival” tour.
