Stalley is the lone ranger, or should we say Honest Cowboy, in Maybach Music Group’s fold. The MC was one of many walking the carpet at this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards, where he spoke to Hip-Hop Wired on his aforementioned project, new music he’s working on, and more.
Honest Cowboy managed to be nominated for the Best Mixtape of the Year award, despite releasing in August. “Man, it feels great. I put a lot of time, energy into that project, so for it to recognized on that scale is beautiful,” Stalley said.
But he’s far from finished; the tape has since been shortened into an EP that’s currently available on iTunes. And to top it off, the MMG affiliate has a lot more releases in the tuck.
“I got tons of videos on deck,” the rapper revealed. “I got videos for ‘Getting By.’ I got videos for ‘Raise Your Weapons,’ ‘Spaceships & Woodgrain.’ We’re just waiting; we’re going to roll them out soon, though.”
