Most children of Hip-Hop feel propelled to follow in their father’s footsteps and for better or worse, kick raps for a living.

Nate Dogg’s son Naijiel Hale has chosen the path of football, ironically as did Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell.

The 18-year-old cornerback had originally selected Arizona to be his college home but in a recent 180, he’s opted to be a Washington Husky instead.

Young Naij Dogg told TMZ that he not only has a current 40-yard dash time at 4.6 seconds but he’ll likely be down to 4.5 within a couple of weeks.

At press time, he currently has an overall scouting rating of 78, and is ranked 58 in the state of California.

“I’m very excited. I can’t wait for this experience,” he told TMZ. “My mom is extremely proud and my dad would be proud too; I can’t wait to be a dawg!”

Although his young mind hasn’t wrapped itself around deciding on a major just yet, he reportedly is edging towards studying in music during his stay at the university.

Always have a backup plan, kids.
