Dave Chappelle is slated to perform a whopping nine shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York City beginning next week. Last night, the comedian visited The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to speak on the upcoming dates and share a few hilarious stories.
While discussing the latter, Chappelle recalled his first time meeting Kanye West, whose first televised performance was on Chappelle’s Show. “You can tell that he was gonna be star,” he said. “It was like Muhammad Ali in Olympic Village. He just knew that he was gonna get the gold.”
It was Chappelle’s first time meeting the eventual G.O.O.D. Music founder. It was the day Jay Z’s The Black Album released.
We won’t give up the story, so you’ll have to watch Dave Chappelle speak below and on the next page.
