It’s the authenticity of YG’s story that propelled his debut album, My Krazy Life, to critical acclaim. Today, the 24-year-old brings his true life gang story to the small screen in the visual — written by the rapper — for “Bicken Back Being Bool.”

A cinematic sermon by an OG in the set by the name of Grimace precedes the events to come. What begins as a regular day in Compton, where YG and his homies play dominoes on the front lawn, becomes riddled with gunfire and all sorts of other calamity. The clip adds new dynamics to each bar the Def Jam rapper spits, and is devoid of the video vixens and obnoxious flossing often seen in treatments.

For more from YG, peep his My Krazy Life LP, which is available via iTunes. See the Alex Nazari-directed video for “Bicken Back Being Bool” below.
