A recent Kylie Jenner photo shoot has backfired terribly thanks to social media reactions across all platforms.

Over the weekend, the youngest Kardashian cast member released pictures of herself glowing in a metallic hue (possibly channeling James Cameron’s Avatar), covered in dark bodypaint. In other words, many perceived it to be an artistic take on blackface.

After the photo spread began to trend in the wrong direction, Kylie responded to all saying, “This is a black light and neon lights people lets all calm down. Yes, In another world I wish I could have pink hair & blue eyes & covered in sparkles.”

Amid the backlash, sources close to the 17-year-old’s rumored boyfriend Tyga allegedly told Hollywood Life that he was exactly thrilled with the move, either.

“Tyga thinks Kylie looks beautiful in any light,” a source revealed to the publication. “But, at the same time, he doesn’t want her being bashed by people and wishes she should think twice before posting anything on social media that might be remotely offensive.”

“Tyga knows her heart and knows she meant no harm by posting that beautiful picture of herself. He even thinks she is showing how strong she is by not removing it. He hopes she’ll look as this as a learning experience.”

Right. Kylie also got support from Zendaya and Karrueche Tran who dismissed the racial tension in the Internet air.

At any rate, get a load of the Kylie Jenner blackface criticism in the gallery below. Give us your thoughts on if this was a react or proper reaction to the photo shoot.
