The NBA season draws near, which means it’s time for LeBron James to properly debut his latest signature sneaker. The Nike LeBron 13 is officially here.

For those of you who care about the technical details:

1. BREATHABLE, SOCK-LIKE FIT FOR FLEXIBILITY AND LOCKDOWN

The breathable mesh upper hugs the foot, while Flywire technology cables provide an adaptive, natural fit and excellent lockdown.

2. HYPERPOSITE MATERIAL PROVIDES ZONED IMPACT PROTECTION

Hyperposite on the midfoot and collar adapts to the forceful torque exerted by James at top speed. Wrapping the top of the foot, it also enhances durability and support while maintaining flexibility and providing protection.  An asymmetrical lacing system finishes the upper and supplements lockdown and foot containment.

3. NIKE ZOOM AIR CUSHIONING UNITS MAXIMIZE EXPLOSIVENESS

Since its debut on the basketball court in the Nike Air Go LWP in 1995, Zoom Air has provided superior cushioning and explosiveness for the movement and impact of the game. For an athlete like LeBron James, the journey up and down the court can equal 12 marathons over the course of a season. Superior cushioning and comfort are a must.

The LEBRON 13 evolves the size and placement of the hexagonal Nike Zoom Air units that debuted in the LEBRON 12.

In total there are four (4) Zoom Air units in the LeBron 13, which is like, a lot.

The LeBron 13 also takes design cues from King James’ hometown of Akron, OH. Expect a multitude of colorways with varying hits on the tongue top, tongue embellishment, heel tab, Swoosh and inside heel.

The sneaker will be available in China first, on Oct. 1, before hitting stores globally on October 10. It will also hit NIKEiD on September 30.

First up will be the Written in the Stars colorway and the Away colorway will debut when his Cleveland Cavaliers play the Chicago Bulls in Chicago on Oct. 27. No official pricing yet, but early word is they will cost you $220 at retail.
