A Tribe Called Quest fans are getting an extra treat next year. New Phife Dawg music could be arriving as early next Spring.

Phife’s widow Desha Head Taylor says her husband completed his final solo album before he passed away back in March.

She tells OkayPlayer, “His solo album will be out probably sometime during the first quarter of 2017. We’re working on it now. He completed his entire solo album before he transitioned, so we’re excited about releasing that.”

The album will be a welcomed effort to Tribe fans wishing they got to hear a little more Phife on We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service.

The album, reportedly titled Give Thanks, will be Phife first solo effort since his 2000 project Ventilaton: Da LP. Fans got a taste of what Phife was cooking when the video for his single “Nutshell” dropped shortly after his death.

Phife’s life was honored earlier this week when he had a street named after him in the Queens neighborhood he grew up in.

Check out “Nutshell” below.
