Could you believe that Diplomatic Immunity Vol.1 is turning ten years old this year? It seems like only yesterday we were throwing up gang signs and wearing 4x tee-shirts.
Over ten years ago, The Diplomats were on top of the rap world. The crew led by Cam’Ron, Juelz Santana and Jim Jones brought a new and exciting energy in Harlem, New York that hasn’t been matched since then.
Like the album stated, they were more than music. They were a movement. The clothes, the style, the attitude, the music videos and more all made the Dips one of the most iconic groups in Hip-Hop history.

After grinding and dropping mixtape after mixtape, the crew linked up with Jay-Z and Damon Dash’s Roc-A-Fella records and the rest was history. Today, we take a look back at some of the most memorable visuals from the Diplomats era. Much like their stage performances, they would always be flanked by no less than 20,000 Dipset affiliates, yet they are as memorable as any music videos from that era.
With Juelz Santana ready to drop his long awaited God Will’n mixtape, Cam’Ron about to drop some work and Jim Jones continuing his grind, a Diplomats reunion might finally happen. Maybe? Hopefully? We’ll see.

15. Juelz Santana ft. Cam’Ron & Sizzla – “Shottas”
Juelz Santana went all jah bless on us when he made the video for “Shottas” with Sizzla and Cam’Ron.
Although this video was a little bit late, it didn’t take away from how fun the song and video was.
Jim Jones kept it extra gully in this video for “Purple City Byrd Gang,” which features a cameo from a very young Karen Civil.
Killa Cam called on the opera of the hood for “Get Em Girls.”
The Dipset took an already filthy song in “Push It” and made it filthier. A true accomplishment.
In the era of “crunk,” the Dipset took the sound and made it their own.
Bandana revved up the hype for his sophomore album with this video.
Cam’Ron and Kanye West were an unbeatable combination, and never was that more evident than on “Down & Out.”
Jimmy and a still G-Unit affiliate Game channeled Menace 2 Sociecty in this Eazy E tribute.
Santana’s stamp as a solo star came in this frantic anthem.
Fresh out of the hospital, Killa shot a video for his diss record aimed at the people who tried to end his life.
Possibly the Diplomats biggest hit single came from the wild card Jim Jones. “Ballin” was an anthem in sports arenas everywhere.
While we still look for that “Oh Boy” cologne, Cam and Juelz’s streak of bangers kicked off with this jam.
The Dips went mainstream with this smooth record with the dance that anybody in the world could do.
Hello? It’s the Dipset Anthem. What else did you think would be #1?
