Nigerian singer, Goldie Harvey, has died. She was 31.

Harvey passed away Thursday (Feb. 14), just after returning back to Africa from the Grammy Awards.

News of Harvey’s death was made via her Facebook page. “It is with heavy heart that I have to inform you all that Goldie passed this night shortly after arriving Lagos from LA,” the posts reads. “May her soul rest in the eternal peace of the Lord – Admin!!”

Harvey is said to have complained of a headache and was taken to Reddington Hospital in Lagos. She was pronounced dead on arrival at 7:30 p.m. local time.

Kenny Ogungbe, the CEO of her record label, Kennis Music, expressed sorrow over the loss. “We consider this period a gloomy moment for us and the entire Nigerian music industry in view of the circumstance in which she passed away,” he said in a statement. “The abundance of talent she exhibited in her short but eventful music career and the various opportunities her trip to the United States of America would have availed her.”

Harvey wasn’t nominated for a Grammy but went to the show, participated in the festivities, and was spotted at a party with Ciara.

Born Susan Filani, she won several awards in Africa, and was linked to Kenyan rapper, Prezzo–who was headed to the West African country to shoot a reality show with her. Harvey previously appeared on Big Brother Africa, and was set to start work on a new project, The Africa Invasion Album.

She is survived by her parents and siblings.
