Starring earlier this year on CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls, 2 Chainz is doing a little network hopping after landing a role on NBC crime drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Is Tity Boi trying to pull a Will Smith here?
The rapper born Tauheed Epps took to his Instagram page and posted up some shots live from the set. Longtime SVU cast member Ice-T struck an especially menacing pose alongside the lanky artist, with Chainz pointing a pistol to his head. The self-proclaimed “hair weave killer” cozied up with actress Mariska Hargitay for a photo, adding the caption “My New Boo!” on his Instagram page.
Chainz is set to play the role of Calvin “Pearlie” Jones, although details of the plot have not been revealed. This new acting venture is quite the leap for Chainz, who played himself in his 2 Broke Girls cameo. Seeing that rapper turned actor LL Cool J has enjoyed a long career on the small screen, perhaps 2 Chainz is looking for his next move beyond rap. Considering the Playaz Circle member’s late-career transformation, the sky’s the limit for 2 Chainz right now.
