Frank Ocean has been spotlighted for his special achievements alongside a host of other big names at this year’s Webby Awards. Ocean won the Person of the Year trophy, according to a press release announcing the winners, sent to Hip-Hop Wired.

Other winners include Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and comedy website Funny Or Die.

The Odd Future crooner was honored for “proving the power of the Web as a medium of the Web as a medium for cultural change” by way of a Tumblr post where he revealed his bi-sexuality. Ocean is highlighted as “challenging stereotypes historically engrained in the Hip-Hop and R&B music communities,” and igniting “a conversation about discrimination to the national dialogue.”

Additionally, Jerry Seinfeld, Kevin Spacey, and film producer Dana Brunetti, and GIF inventor Steve Wilhite will be recognized at the 17th annual awards show.

Webby Award winners were selected by judges in the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, including Huffington Post founder Ariana Huffington, Twitter Co-Founder Biz Stone, and Instagram creator, Kevin Systrom. Internet voters from around the globe voted to choose the Webby People’s Voice Award winners.

IADAS also announced a collective of outstanding individuals to be recognized with the Webby Special Achievement award.

The ceremony will be available to view in HD on-demand at watch.webbyawards.com, beginning May 22, at 9 a.m.

Comedian Patton Oswald will host.
