Have you heard of Gig It?? Probably not, but you will soon if the star studded turn out at their New York City launch event last night was any indication of their forthcoming success. A host of media figures were invited out to try the new online game, with roughly 90 percent of them being rappers.

Rick Ross, Pusha T, Raekwon, Ace Hood, French Montana, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, Nas, 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled, Slaughterhouse, Large Professor, Ace Hood, Ne-Yo, Jaime Foxx, T-Pain and more were among those in attendance.

The game itself allows users to select real-life rappers, and customize concerts to the specific details of your liking. This includes selecting the music, backup dancers, speakers, opening act, headline performers, wardrobes, sponsors, etc.

Each artist previously mentioned can be found in the game, with more announcements said to be upcoming.

Allison Park, Elle Varner, Miguel, Busta Rhymes, French Montana, Fabolous, 2 Chainz, Nas and other invited guests performed throughout the evening at the launch. See footage from yesterday’s festivities, as well as an excerpt from a an interview about Gig-It below.

“Today, a large chunk of the music business is about social interaction and connecting with our fan base in an unique way,” 2 Chainz told Mashable. “GIG-IT’s launch onto Facebook is the perfect blend of just that and gives our fans a new way of connecting beyond just listening to our music.”
