In Tennessee this week, a child support case is unfolding that would even make Maury Povich scratch his head. Orlando Shaw of Nashville has admitted to fathering 22 children with 14 women, and owes thousands of dollars in delinquent child support. Payments, Shaw says, he has no way of making.

In an exclusive television interview  on Tuesday (June 4) afternoon with CBS affiliate WTVF-5, Shaw, 33, explained that his prolific baby-making was based on his youth and his good fortune with the ladies. Shaw also shocked when he said he wanted 50 children, but seems content with the 22 he doesn’t take care of.

“I wanted 50 kids, “said the dreadlocked, all-white short set-rocking Shaw outside the Davidson County Juvenile Court. “I don’t want no more. Don’t want no more kids, I wanna be fixed!”

The mothers have banded together, assisted by Child Support Services, to force Shaw to pay support and lessen the state’s burden. Currently, the state pays just over $7,500 per month to take care of his children, who range in age from infant twins, to an 18-year-old.

“I love my kids and I can care less about what anyone thinks about it,” added Shaw. When pressed on whether he’ll be able to make the back payments, Shaw replied with, “I can’t pay no child support right now. They know I can’t pay them no child support.”

The reasonably handsome, if struggling, Shaw doesn’t seem to accept the gravity of his situation after wisecracking about how he was able to impregnate so many women.

“I was young and ambitious and I love women. You can’t knock no man for loving women,” said Shaw to laughter from onlookers in the distance. “The Shaw legacy lives on.”

Shawty Lo is somewhere beaming with pride, we’re sure.
