In April, Torres went to Cuerpos Health and Aesthetics and paid in cash for the first round of the enlargement, where an “oily yellow substance” was injected into her rear end by a Venezuelan man posing as a professional.
The second procedure came weeks later.
A business owner identified only as Naveen, witnessed a dizzy and disoriented Torres leave the center after round two. “I was looking at her and she fell down so I went outside, I picked her up, I asked her where’s her car.” He called 911.
Torres was rushed to a hospital accompanied by by CHA owner Ruth Planas, who failed to mention the butt injections. “Maybe if that woman would’ve told them early my daughter would still be here,” Torres’ mother Coralia Espinosa said.
The 28-year-ld was pronounced dead 10 hours later.
Another patient, Dailen Garcia, says she was injected about two weeks before Torres and had to be hospitalized for bleeding lungs, and vision issues. Garcia is prepairing to sue.
CHA has closed down. Planas hasn’t been named as a suspect in Torres’ death.
