U-God, a founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan, is back with a visual for his single “Skyscraper” off of his new album The Keynote Speaker.

The feature starts off with helicopter blades whirling off in the distance as Golden Arms prepares to flow. The video follows a conventional approach, unlike other artists, with U-God spittin’ in front of a mural dedicated to his likeness, in a glass elevator and driving  through Times Square. Arial views of the projects, lower Manhattan and the soon-to-be completed Freedom Tower add a nice touch to the New York City inspired track’s visual.

The veteran wordsmith made headlines for his opinions on arguably two of the biggest Hip- Hop releases of the summer with Yeezus and Magna Carta, Holy Grail earlier this month.

Celebrating their 20-year anniversary, The Wu-Tang clan is set to release an album commemorating the occasion and no doubt U-God contributor.

The Keynote Speaker is in stores now via RZA’s Soul Temple Records. Check out the video below for “Skyscraper” below and let your thoughts be known in the comments section.
