While everyone is looking to the likes of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Game to revamp the West Coast and restore the energy that it once had when it was the dominant sound in Hip Hop, not enough are taking notice of the young gunners creating their own noise to continue the legacy.

Dropping the critically acclaimed debut album, Boy Meets World, rapper Fashawn looks to keep breaking boundaries by touching a Hip Hop classic that many probably wouldn’t dare to, by creating his own version of Illmatic.

Citing his work with The Alchemist from the mixtape The Antidote, the rapper stated how getting more in touch with beats and music before his generation was the inspiration for the upcoming concept behind the new mixtape.
