Snoop Lion (Snoop Dogg at times) informed us that he had two projects in the works at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Today, we receive new track called “Faden Away” from an upcoming collaborative effort with Dam-Funk.
Birds of a feather eventually make music together, apparently. And that’s a good thing in this case, as we hear Snoop shares his veteran status on this funky tune. By now, you’re undoubtedly familiar with the Doggystyle rapper’s long lineage in Hip-Hop, but Dam-Funk has also been consistent year in and year out with jamming releases that are clearly inspired by legends like Bootsy Collins.
“Faden Away” is but a mashup of their styles, which at times has mirrored one another — Snoop is no stranger to funk and the like.
Expect this song to appear on the duo’s 7 Days Of Funk, releasing via Stones Throw some time in the near future. Stream “Faden Away” below and give us your thoughts in the comments.
