A Tribe Called Quest hit the Barclays Center last night (November 20) as the opening act of Kanye West’s Yeezus tour’s second night in Brooklyn. Besides bringing out Busta Rhymes for a spirited rendition of “Scenario,” ATCQ kicked it backstage with Dave Chappelle, Jack White of the White Stripes and the Mighty Mos Def Yasiin Bey.
The legendary Hip-Hop group had a dope set—which featured a real life Bonita Applebum—for what is allegedly one of its final shows as a unit. It also happened to be Phife Dawg’s birthday and the Tribe and friends celebrated the 5 Foot Assassin’s birthday with a cake designed to look like a mic and a gold chain as well as sports themed cupcakes.
