ScHoolboy Q was able to stand alongside Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd in a seemingly authentic promotional video for the coveted Hoverboard, but the jig is up for the founding company HUVr Corp, which turns out is Funny or Die in disguise.

No piece of information ever actually leaves the Internet once it is submitted unto cyberspace and the folks over a Mashable discovered a lowly costume designer had updated her résumé for working with the giant comedy hub and her deletion of the record was still discovered in the cache.

The disclosure of FOD’s elaborate hoax shouldn’t be a big deal save for the fact that they created a HUVr Corp website with a countdown timer set to detonate at the end of December 2014.

Terrell Owens, pro skateboard legend Tony Hawk and actors Billy Zane and Agnes Bruckner were all in on the gag that featured two videos that accumulated more than five million views on YouTube.

Regardless, it’s still good publicity for TDE’s active representer as he currently has the #1 album in the country, as evidenced in the video below.
