The term “March madness” has taken on new meaning for Hip-Hop heads and music fans of all genres.
The annual SXSW music festival is the premiere convening ground for aspiring musicians, established artists, media outlets and record labels to find a common goal on a prime advancement opportunity.
Additionally, it’s one hell of a party.
The G.O.O.D. Music army recently snuck in the back door to announce they’ll have their own showcase as one big happy family as well deep-rooted rappers in the brand such Def Jam Records, Skee TV and Cashmere Agency.
But while Snoop Dogg, Nas and Lil Wayne with Myspace’s CRWN are obviously crowd bait, the festival still holds true to helping the independent and unsigned rappers take that next step in elevating their careers to the next level.
There’s plenty of gems to be found with Strange Music, Huh, Whut & Where, 2DopeBoyz, Bootleg Kev and The Beat Academy’s showcases (just to name a handful).
Let these 30 flyers of Hip-Hop shows to check for at SXSW 2014 be your guide of combing through Austin’s concrete this week.
Happy travels and be safe.
