Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter John Legend, returned to his alma mater to deliver a very emotional speech before crooning a remix of his smash hit, “All of Me.”
Before the money and fame, John Legend was just a kid from Ohio attending the University of Pennsylvania. On Monday (May 19), Legend visited the old halls of academia and shared with the graduating class of 2014 his humble beginnings in a moving commencement speech at UPenn.
“All of you/Are so over me/You’re tired of hearing that I went to Penn/Why’d they bring him back again?” He chuckled before adding, “That was my humblebrag way of saying that I have the biggest song in the country right now.”
Check out the GOOD Music artist and his speech, largely dedicated to the importance of love, good will and finding your purpose. Peep the video on the following page, leave your thoughts in the comments.
