Denzel Washington is invading movie theaters again this year and this time he’s taken on the role of “Robert McCall,” a former black ops commando who faked his death to leave that life, in The Equalizer.

Sounds exciting, right? Like many of his recent roles, the Academy Award winner is in the midst of the action. He’s been off the radar for years, but that changes when he goes against the East Coast leg of the Russian Mafia to rescue a prostitute (played by Chloë Grace Moretz). This act of valor requires Washington to get his hands dirty in record time, as he uses a stopwatch to time his battles. Take that as a testament to his apparent skill at the art of killing.

Washington reconnected with Training Day director Antoine Fuqua to create this fast-paced thriller, which looks like a must see. The Equalizer hits theaters September 26. Peep the non-stop action in The Equalizer trailer below.
