Columbus Short has been going through some things lately. We’re just over the halfway mark of 2014 and the 31-year-old actor has run into a few problems, and it didn’t get much better over the weekend when he was arrested for public intoxication.
Short’s shenanigans aren’t as big a deal to him as they should be. On the public front at least, the former Scandal star maintains that much of the reports about him have been blown out of proportion even though he does “own up” to certain things. Speaking to Access Hollywood about the troubles Monday (July 7) Short said that his popularity is a large part of the problem. “I think there’s a time when you’re personal life gets magnified by who we are as celebrities.”
The issues in his personal life are centered around the break up of his marriage to second wife, Tanee McCall, Â and domestic abuse allegations. While Short does admit that he hasn’t “been perfect,” he maintains that “all the things” that have been reported about him in the press aren’t totally accurate.
