Back again is yours truly with a bundle of audio dopeness via The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week.

Per usual, the music selected is an eclectic mix of cuts from some of Rap’s elite and a few newcomers to boot. Personally, we found the latter party to be most impressive — particularly a kid from Long Beach who’s been blazing tracks, lyrically.

But we won’t bother you with descriptions. Peep the rhyme via The Wrap Up on the following pages. Let your thoughts be known in the comments.

10. Punch – “Prelude”

Producer: N/A

Exactly what this track is a prelude of intrigues us most, but in the meantime, get some game from the OG above.

9. ILOVEMAKONNEN ft. Drake – “Tuesday (Remix)”

Producer: Sonny Digital & Metro Boomin

Like it or not, Drizzy’s verse (per usual) will have the whole lot of you reciting ILOVEMAKONNEN’s catchy chorus sooner or later.

8. Rick Ross ft. Big K.R.I.T., Ma$e & Fabolous – “Supreme (Remix)”

Producer: Scott Storch

The production remains the same, but Rick Ross’ partners in rhyme add some extra flavor to his Mastermind track. Hopefully this makes it to radio.

7. Lil Wayne ft. Drake – “Grindin”

Producer: Vinylz & Boi-1da

Weezy and Drizzy let the sh*t talk fly expeditiously on this song with dexterous flows in tow. But would you have it any differently?

6. Souls Of Mischief & Adrian Younge – “Panic Struck”

Producer: Adrian Younge

Bay Area veterans Souls Of Mischief wax poetics over proper instrumentation by Younge. Anything more you need to know about this track?

5. J. Cole – “Be Free”

ProducerN/.A

Cole delivered a heartfelt message in regards to Michael Brown’s death.

4. Lil Bibby ft. Lil Herb – “Game Over”

Producer: DJ L

The East Side of Chicago’s finest let their lyrical choppers ring off on this street cut. We’re not mad at this one bit.

3. Jeezy ft. The Game & Rick Ross – “Beautiful”

Producer: Black Metaphor

Backed by lush instrumentation, the trio let their poetics represent their flashy lifestyles on this release.

2. Statik Selektah ft. Action Bronson – “Long Time”

Producer: Statik Selektah

It’s always a party when Statik and Bronsolino connect on way. This time, the duo keep it gritty.

1. Vince Staples – “Blue Suede”

Producer: Hagler Tyrant

There’s a reason rapper Joey Fatts crowned Staples the most lyrical rapper from Long Beach. And it’s not because it’s his younger cousin.
