The Love & Hip Hop brand has been expanding rapidly since 2011, making stars out of the unknowns (like the Puerto Rican Princess), and helping the moderately and well known (i.e., Soulja Boy) back into public relevancy. Reality TV can be a crap shoot, since there’s no way to determine who will be able to use the attention as platform for their “artistry,” and more and more recording artists are trying to make it work.
