The world was anticipating a new Terminator film just like they were an actual robotic apocalypse of Biblical proportions, but Terminator: Genisys has been announced away.
Entertainment Weekly got the exclusive first look into the fifth installment of the billion dollar franchise first envisioned by James Cameron and made popular by Arnold Schwarzenegger, and its deposit was injected in full. The last film, 2009’s Terminator Salvation, grossed hundreds of millions in box office fare, but was openly criticized the cyborganic and not much has appeared to change for Terminator: Genisys.
This latest sci-fi thriller stars Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as lead hero, Jon Connor, Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke as his insanely spirited momma, Sarah, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese in what appears to be a thinly veiled remake of the first two films, but those little tidbits didn’t prevent the slander from flowing like liquid metal.
Director Alan Taylor and producers David Ellison and Dana Goldberg have their work cut out in convincing that their new project is worthy of bearing the Terminator namesake.
