From that “I Can Breathe” nonsense to blaming Tamir Rice for his own death, 2015 has been a banner year for foul policemen getting away with violence against unarmed citizens.

But you can be famous and still be involved with law enforcement drama—whether you instigated it or not. These 13 celebrities who had run ins with cops quickly found themselves on the wrong end of the law.

Taraji P. Henson

Empire actress Taraji P. Henson initially thought her son got caught up in a Black Lives Matter episode, but she was wrong. After surveillance footage revealed Glendale police were actually looking out for her son, Taraji apologized and walked back statements about removing her son from USC.

Chris Rock

Three traffic stops in two months (all documented on social media) could either mean Chris Rock is getting profiled or he’s a really bad driver. Since he wasn’t driving one of those times, and it seems to be open season on unarmed black folks dealing with law enforcement, we think you know the deal here.

Tupac Shakur

Not only did ‘Pac win a $42,000 settlement against the Oakland Police Department in 1991 after allegedly being beaten for jaywalking, he also shot two off duty cops in Atlanta in 1993.

The domestic violence case that spawned an epic police report found US National Women’s Team member Hope Solo having to be restrained by two cops. She allegedly offered both officers the fade too.

Chris Brown

We all know Chris Brown and Karreuche seem to have that “forever love.” But when you’ve just gotten an epic domestic assault case wiped from your record, following your ex home for a heated 3:00 a.m. argument is a dumb move.

Joe Budden

Mouse Budden got warrants.

Jeremiah Raber

When you’re on a show named Breaking Amish, cursing out the police is a decidedly bad look.

Conrad Hilton

If he was a Middle Eastern man with an entry level job, would Conrad Hilton have only gotten 750 hours of community service and a misdemeanor assault charge for threatening to kill crew members on a British Airways flight in July?

Thabo Sefolosha

Atlanta Hawks swingman Thabo Sefolosha missed the 2015 playoffs after having his leg broken by an NYPD officer. The video available makes it look like the arresting officer got too happy with that baton, but we’ll see if the jig is still on when Sefolosha heads to court in September.
