By now, the harsh reality of the Lafayette theater shooting has set in that the United States has an issue with gun control and the mentally ill obtaining them.
Around 7 p.m., yesterday, July 23 in Lafayette, Louisiana, 59-year-old John Russel Houser, a white male whose guns were once removed from his home, opened fire during a showing of Trainwreck, killing two women and leaving seven people have been hospitalized as a result of critical injuries.
The two mortally wounded victims were identified as 33-year-old Jillian Johnson and 21-year-old Mayci Breaux.
After failing to escape the Grand 16 theater, Houser took his own life as police swarmed in on him. The
