Some celebrities will do almost anything to make sure they keep getting checks and the adoration of their fans.

But these 12 cases of celebrity trolling are proof that not all attention is good attention, and sometimes those over the top moves are best if they’re never made in the first place.

Drake and Nicki Minaj

The faux courtship between Nicki and Drake has been a hallmark of the Young Money roster. She twerks, he drools, and sometimes they even get fake married. But when it’s all said and done, Nicki is with Meek and Drake is still out there cupcaking strippers.

Donald Trump

Folks who say they like Trump’s tough talk aren’t watching the jig. Political moves like slandering the entire Mexican immigrant community and demanding Barack Obama’s birth certificate are fodder for reality shows. They’re not the actions you want to see from the Commander In Chief.

Lil B

From his recent endorsement of Bernie Sanders to cursing the NBA’s top players, and naming his album I’m Gay, Lil B’s entire post-The Pack career has been an exorcize in trolling.

Floyd Mayweather and Ray J

Floyd Mayweather

Saying he’s the best ever when a gentleman by the name of Muhammad Ali already holds that title is boxing blasphemy on Floyd’s part. Claiming he doesn’t know who Ronda Roussey is or that he can serve her the fade is just trolling.

Kanye West

Yeezy takes himself so seriously that we didn’t give him the benefit of the doubt for that “Bound 2” video.

Taylor Swift

The line between appropriation and appreciation is habitually crossed each time Taylor Swift lip syncs Nicki Minaj, stans out over Kendrick Lamar, and/or crawls through a gallery of voluptuous black thighs.

Don Lemon

Can anyone point to some tangible experience Don Lemon has organizing, being involved in politics, or activism? If the answer is no, then we should wonder why CNN trots him out during their regular race baiting as if he’s some kind of expert.

Karrueche

Ms. Tran knows we’re watching, and that’s why she puts up Instagram pictures of her barely there bikini, her Groot-looking hands wearing a potential wedding band, and snaps of her with a bloodied lip as if here man wasn’t infamous for beating his last girlfriend into a bloody pulp.

Raven Symone

Let’s make the safe assumption that Raven owns a television or computer and at some point has heard how foolish she sounds making statements about her blackness (or lack thereof) and Bill Cosby. It would seem she only continues to spew such madness because you keep giving her light.

Jaden Smith

Jaden Smith

Smart and talented though he may be, doesn’t it seem like Jaden is riding for these cause of smashing gender norms just a little too hard? What’s the end game here?

Lily Allen

Posing in front of balloons that spell, “Lily Allen Has A Baggy P***y” certainly qualifies as trolling.

Nas

Nas

Those first two albums after switching over from Sony to Def Jam were all about shock value and trolling. But with a title like Hip Hop Is Dead and the mere threat of naming an album after a racial epithet, Nasir got the desired effect.
