Jay Gatbsy, better known as @LastCharmander, caught a barrage of jokes via Twitter after he posted a photo of himself with some DIY dreadlocks. The slander came in swift and furious for the young man, so much that he became a trending topic and confusing fans of the Pokémon he’s name after.
It all began Sunday night (Aug. 23) when Gatsby posted a photo of the faux locs with the caption, “My Head Hurting” which has since been deleted. It didn’t take long for Twitter to start going in on the bogus braids and take the poor man through all the changes to the point he became a trending topic in the United States.
Gatsby seemed to take the jokes in stride at first, even replying once with a photo captioned “F**k Y’all I’m Fresh” but it wouldn’t prove to hold back the blitz.
Even through Monday, the jokes have poured in but Gatsby has largely moved on. Still, he’ll undoubtedly live on in Twitter infamy from this point forward. Especially after the creative amount of zingers that were inspired by his ill-advised decision to let the timeline in on his hair struggles.
