McDonald’s is standing behind a Hip-Hop talent search where actual talent will reign supreme at the end of the day.

The ubiquitous restaurant is pitting together veteran mixmasters to host and oversee the 2015 Flavor Battle Competition where the Grand Prize winner from one of the three different national regions, (East, West and Central) will walk away with $10,000 and wheels of steel supremacy. The second prize winner will be awarded $3,000 and the third place winner will receive $1,000.

The Grand Finale event will take place in New York City on November 15 during the Global Spin Awards weekend and has some serious credibility on its panelist. The legendary DJ Clark Kent will serve as the host while DJ Skribble, DJ Shiftee, DJ Jazzy Joyce and the 2013 Flavor Battle champion, DJ R-Tistic hold down the judging duties. Also in the mix is The Breakfast Club’s very Angela Yee, who will serve as the social media correspondent for the Flavor Battle Competition.

“The mixes this year really push the envelope in terms of creativity and personal flavor,” DJ Clark Kent said in a statement. “Any and everyone should vote daily for the mix with the most promise. It’s important we show support on rising artists of tomorrow.”

William Rhodes, McDonald’s U.S. marketing director, also chimed in stating, “Musical forms are constantly changing, it’s important for McDonald’s to stay up-to-date with the creativity that influences the lifestyle of our customers.”

The McDonald’s Flavor Battle Competition shares a rich history with their 365Black platform since its induction in 2009 with Complex Media. With the rise of social media at an all-time high, the 2015 Flavor Battle Competition looks to be their biggest event yet. Fans of the DJs and music lovers alike are encouraged to vote often as one pair of fans will have the chance to win a trip the finale.
