While he still can probably outrap many of today’s top stars, Rev Run is focused on faith and family. The Queens native stopped by The Breakfast Club to discuss his growth plan and more.

With a couple of television shows in the mix, Joseph Simmons is only involving himself in ventures that speak to his calling.

DJ Envy, Angela Simmons and Charlamagne Tha God got the good Reverend to discuss his new shows, the family, his legacy and more.

1. JoJo

His son JoJo is expecting his first child.

2. Twitter 

Run has always tried to stay tech savvy. He says he was the first one in the Simmons household to get on Twitter. At one point he was the most retweeted Twitter account.

3. Run’s House

They stopped filming Run’s House because the family was growing and they weren’t all at the house at the same time. Run wanted to keep things as real as possible so the show got nixed.

4. New Rap

Run enjoys Drake and J. Cole in terms of new Rap talent. He’ll even play some Future and Young Thug every now and then.

5. Yo Gotti

In the past Yo Gotti has shown much infatuation for Angela Simmons via social media. Run has spoken to him about the crush and found him to be really respectful and gave him props for showing Diggy love with concert appearances and guest features.


6. Supper

Run also has a cooking show Rev Run’s Sunday Suppers. All the recipes are inspired by real deal moments at the family’s dinner table.

7. Management

JoJo has officially given up rapping and now manages music artists.

8. International DJ

Run actually has different residencies throughout Atlantic City and Las Vegas as a DJ. Along with his partner DJ Ruckus, he is an open format DJ and will play both Trap and EDM music.
