An Overland Park, Kan. police officer has been fired after threatening a woman and her child on Facebook with the comment, “we’ll see how much her life matters soon.”

A Dallas woman named LaNaydra Williams says that on Thursday night [July 7], just moments after the Dallas police shootings, a man targeted her on Facebook leaving threatening messages on a post featuring a picture of her child.

The post was made in 2014, but somehow the man’s presumed rage over the shootings led him to there where he left the message:

“We’ll see how much her life matters soon…better be careful leaving your info open where she can be found:) hold her close tonight, it’ll be the last time”

bad Cop

The man who left the message could stand to be careful about “leaving your info open” too. He sent the message from his personal Facebook account.

Come to find out he was an Overland Park, Kan. police officer. Williams took a screenshot of the comment before it was deleted and sent it to the police department. The department acted quickly.

At first they said they Wilson’s account was hacked. After Williams called bullsh*t, the department launched an investigation, confirmed that Wilson left the message and then terminated him.

They later patted themselves on the back for the good police work via Facebook.

The Overland Park police department has not released the name of the officer because he has not yet been formally charged with a crime. However, Bossip is reporting that the bad cop’s name is Rodney Lee Wilson.

Williams says that she does not know how or why Wilson targeted her, telling Kansas City’s Fox 4 News that she doesn’t know anyone in Kansas. Obviously, the very disturbed Wilson just hopped on the internet and found the first Black person his search engine led him to and unleashed is hate there.
