Walker doesn’t want to speculate as to how his house caught on fire. He says that he is going to wait and see what the local police and FBI find in their investigation. However, he is not questioning whether or not he will leave the department. He plans to stay.

In a statement he says:

I’m not going to be intimidated. I’m not going to change my habits of what I’ve been doing. I’m still going to be helpful in the community. I’m going to go on calls and hopefully this is just an isolated incident and if it turns out to be more, I’m sure that and confident that the North Tonawanda police department will handle it.

Walker and his wife were not home during the incident, but their two cats died in the fire and they lost all of their possessions.

A donation drive has been started to help Walker get back on his feet. Read the entire story here.
