Mariah Carey Capped 2016 With Awful NYE Performance, Dragged Mercilessly
The consensus is that 2016 was particularly trash, so this sort of makes sense. Mariah Carey capped the year off with an awful New Year’s Eve performance on live television.

Apparently, Carey was unable to hear the music she was supposed to perform (“Emotions” and “We Belong Together”).
“Well, Happy New Year,” said an exasperated Carey as she walked on stage. “We can’t hear, but I’ll just go through the motions, okay..”
What followed about a minute of attempted starts and stops, bad lip-syncing and general struggle.
