Today (April 11), White House press secretary Sean Spicer decided that Pepsi and United shouldn’t get ALL the slander. Cheeto Trump’s flunkie thought bringing up Hitler and “holocaust centers” during a press briefing while defending the bombing Syria was a good idea. As evidenced by the backlash on Twitter and from anyone with sense, it was not. But let us go back to how this started—saying Hitler wasn’t as bad as Bashar al-Assad… “You had someone as despicable as Hitler, who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons,” said Spicer. Umm, okay? Then he clarified himself, which only made things worse. Said Spicer, “[Hitler] was not using the gas on his own people, the same way that Assad was doing,” the press secretary said. “There was not — he brought them into the Holocaust centers, I understand that. But I’m saying, in the way that Assad used them, where he went into towns, dropped them down, to innocents…” Wait, concentration camps are “holocaust centers” now? Then Twitter got wind of it, and Sean Spicer started getting fried. Deservedly so. More on the flip.
