Tory Lanez found himself in a world of legal trouble this week after he was pulled over in Florida and arrested on drug and gun charges. The Canadian artist, who now lives in the U.S., was pulled over for driving with expired dealer tags thus leading to the discovery of the illegal items.

Local outlet WPLG reports:

The arresting officer noted in the arrest report that a strong odor of marijuana was emanating from Lanez’s vehicle and a small amount of marijuana was found in the glove box.

The officer said he also found a concealed, loaded, unholstered gun in the center console.

Lanez was arrested on charges of illegally carrying a concealed weapon, possession of fewer than 20 grams of cannabis, failure to register a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license and operating a vehicle that is not properly insured.

Lanez, 24, was born Daystar Peterson and hails from Ontario, Canada. According to reports, the Hip-Hop singer posted a $1,000. According to a report from the Sun-Sentinel, Lanez’s lawyer contends that his client is innocents on all charges.

The I Told You artist resides in the Pembroke Pines area.
