Just when it seemed like Michael Vick’s life couldn’t get any weirder, the New York Daily News is reporting that his father, Michael Dwayne Boddie, has been charged with participating in a large-scale heroin distribution organization.

The 55-year-old father of the former NFL superstar was indicted alongside 11 other people and charged with dealing heroine and money laundering. Making matters worst, Boddie and four of his co-defendants skipped their appearance at the U.S. District Court in Norfolk and remain at large.

It’s not clear what kind of father-son relationship Boddie has with Vick, but if he’s resorted to selling smack to make a few bucks, it can’t be all that tight. That being said we doubt he’s hiding out in one of his son’s villas.

But maybe this could be a new talking point for the pair as Vick himself did a 21-month stint in prison for his involvement in a dogfighting ring that almost destroyed his football career and may very well cost him a place in the NFL Hall Of Fame.

Meanwhile, Boddie’s other son, Marcus Vick, was arrested in Newport News, Va., on an ecstasy possession charge that are still pending.
