Young Thug graced the stages of New York City’s Terminal 5 last Thursday and the mission became larger than entertainment for the Atlanta rap star. Thugger tweeted on June 29 that all proceeds from his concert would go to Planned Parenthood based on his experiences with becoming a teen parent.

Thugger, a father of six, posted the to his Twitter followers his big-hearted intentions to donate monies to the beleaguered organization.

“I’m donating the proceeds from my show tonight to @PPFA. I was a teenage parent. Planned+unplanned parenthood is beautiful,” wrote Young Thug. Right after, Planned Parenthood responded with a tweet thanking the Beautiful Thugger Girls artist for his generous contribution.

“Bless up @youngthug We see you & are here to help young ppl make educated sex & parenting decisions that are best for them #StandwithPP,” wrote the organization in a tweet the following day.

Planned Parenthood has come under the attack of the Trump administration and some conservatives who feel the organization promotes values that contradict their own. Just in April, President Trump signed into legislation a ruling that cuts federal funding for the group.
